  • GK Energy Secures INR 235.92 Crore Order to Deploy 10,000 Solar-Powered Water Pumping Systems Across Maharashtra

    GK Energy announced that it will deploy 10,000 Off-Grid DC Solar-powered Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) across Maharashtra under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana. The order by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), valued at ₹235.92 crore (inclusive of GST), involves the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP solar-powered agricultural pumping systems across the state.

    The initiative will support the deployment of solar-powered irrigation systems across Maharashtra, enabling farmers with reliable and sustainable access to energy for irrigation while reducing dependence on conventional power sources.

    The latest order further reinforces GK Energy’s long-standing association with MSEDCL in supporting the state’s renewable energy initiatives. With this project, the Company has secured orders worth ₹ 637.83 Crores (inclusive of GST) from the utility, reflecting its strong execution capabilities and continued role in advancing Maharashtra’s clean energy transition.

    As decentralised renewable energy continues to gain momentum across India, solar-powered irrigation is emerging as a key driver of clean energy adoption in the agricultural sector. Government-led programmes such as the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana are accelerating this shift by strengthening rural energy infrastructure and improving access to sustainable energy solutions for farming communities.

  • Sunsure Energy Secures INR 262 Crore Project Financing from FMO and Axis Bank for 75 MWp Open Access Solar Project in Tamil Nadu

    Sunsure Energy, India’s preferred renewable energy solutions provider for leading businesses and utilities, today announced that it has secured a total debt commitment of ₹262 Crore for its open access solar project at Ilayangudi, Tamil Nadu. The financing is led by FMO, the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank, which holds the majority of the debt, with the balance of approximately ₹71 crore sanctioned by Axis Bank, one of the largest private sector banks in India. The transaction represents FMO’s first project financing in the Group Captive Commercial & Industrial (C&I) renewable energy space in India.

    The proceeds will fund the development and construction of the 75 MWp solar project at Ilayangudi, Tamil Nadu. The project will supply clean power to commercial and industrial offtakers across the State under the open access route, supporting their transition to renewable energy.

    FMO’s participation is aligned with its energy-sector strategy of backing fully green initiatives globally, supporting local renewable energy developers in their growth, and helping close the financing gap in the market. The investment also contributes to India’s target of reaching 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based electricity capacity by 2030.

    Axis Bank’s participation reflects its continued commitment to accelerating India’s energy transition, supporting renewable energy capacity creation that enables the country’s industrial sector to decarbonise at scale.

  • Hon’ble Prime Minister Inaugurates SJVN’s 1000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project

    Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated SJVN’s 1000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project from Pachpadra, Rajasthan, marking a significant milestone in India’s renewable energy journey and reaffirming the nation’s commitment towards achieving its clean energy and sustainability goals.

    This historic occasion was graced by Hon’ble Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, Union Minister of Power, Housing & Urban Affairs Shri Manohar Lal, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Sh. Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister of State (I/C) for Law & Justice and Minister of State in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Deputy Chief Minister, Smt.     The 1000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project has been developed by SJVN through its renewable energy arm, SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), in Bikaner, Rajasthan. Developed with an investment of approximately 5,492 crore across nearly 5,000 acres, the project is India’s largest single EPC solar project under the Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) category at a single location, showcasing world-class renewable energy infrastructure built on indigenous capabilities.

    The project is expected to generate approximately 2,454.84 million units of electricity during its first year of operation and around 56,482.14 MU of clean energy over its 25-years of operational life. The generated power will be supplied to the States of Rajasthan (500 MW), Uttarakhand (200 MW) and Jammu & Kashmir (300 MW), thereby strengthening the country’s clean energy network while ensuring long-term sustainable power supply.

    The project is estimated to reduce nearly 2.79 billion kilograms of carbon emissions over its operational life, making a substantial contribution towards India’s climate action commitments and environmental sustainability objectives.

    A key highlight of the project is its strong emphasis on the Government of India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives. The project has utilized approximately 24.22 lakh domestically manufactured DCR solar modules and around 175 crore indigenous solar cells, significantly promoting domestic manufacturing and strengthening the indigenous renewable energy ecosystem.

    Beyond clean energy generation, the project has contributed meaningfully to regional socio-economic development. During its construction and commissioning phases, it generated more than 2,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities and continues to support livelihoods during its operational phase. The project has also facilitated the development of critical infrastructure, including roads, transmission systems and associated facilities, accelerating the overall growth of the Bikaner region.

  • Trinasolar and SWY Sign 200MW MoU to Distribute Vertex N G3 and Vertex S+ G3 Modules in Myanmar

    Trinasolar, a global leader in smart PV and energy storage solutions, has signed a 200MW Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shwe Wah Yaung Agriculture Production Company Limited (SWY) to support the distribution of Vertex N G3 and Vertex S+ G3 modules in Myanmar over three years. SWY is one of Myanmar’s largest rice producers and is also active in Myanmar’s solar market as a wholesale distributor of complete solar systems, including PV modules.

    The MoU was signed at the Myanmar-China Investment and Trade Networking Summit in Shanghai on 18 June 2026, where companies from both markets gathered to explore cooperation in trade, investment and industrial development.

    The agreement focuses on residential, commercial and industrial (C&I) applications in Myanmar, where customers need solar modules that can support higher output across different system sizes and site conditions. Vertex N G3 is designed for high-power C&I and utility-scale projects, with power output of up to 760W and efficiency of up to 24.5%. Vertex S+ G3 brings Trinasolar’s n-type i-TOPCon Ultra technology into a compact, durable dual-glass format for residential and commercial rooftops, supporting higher output where roof space is limited.

    The agreement adds to recent Asia-Pacific (APAC) partner commitments to Trinasolar’s Vertex G3 module portfolio. These include a 1GW MoU with Solar Juice in Australia for Vertex S+ G3 modules and a 600MW MoU with Ecohope Solar for the distribution of Vertex N G3 and Vertex S+ G3 modules across Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Together, these agreements point to growing partner confidence in Trinasolar’s latest modules.

  • TotalEnergies ENEOS Commissions 28 MWp Rooftop Solar Project at Samsung Electronics HCMC CE Complex

    TotalEnergies ENEOS successfully commissions a nearly 28 MWp rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system at the Samsung Electronics HCMC CE Complex (SEHC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

    The project is the first and largest rooftop solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) project under Vietnam’s Decree 57 Direct Power Purchase Agreement (DPPA) framework via private-wire arrangement. The commissioning ceremony was attended by representatives from local authorities and partners, underscoring the importance of onsite renewable solutions in advancing industrial decarbonization in Vietnam.

    Under this 20-year PPA, TotalEnergies ENEOS financed, installed, and now operates and maintains the system for Samsung Electronics’ second largest global manufacturing site. Comprising close to 45,000 solar PV modules, the system generates over 40,000 MWh of renewable electricity annually, covering approximately 26% of the site’s electricity consumption and avoiding more than 500,000 tons of CO₂ emissions over the contract period. The successful delivery of the project demonstrates how large-scale onsite solar solutions can be integrated into complex manufacturing environment.

    The project supports Samsung Electronics’ RE100 commitments, enhances energy autonomy of the site, lowers cost and improves efficiency through reduced heat gain from covered roof areas.

  • NHPC and GUVNL Sign PPAs for 3,576 MW Hydropower Projects in Jammu & Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh

    NHPC Limited and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) signed two Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) in Vadodara on June 30, 2026, for the procurement of power from NHPC’s 1,856 MW Sawalkot Hydro Electric Project in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and the 1,720 MW Kamala Hydro Electric Project in Arunachal Pradesh.

    The agreements provide for the supply of power to GUVNL for a period of 40 years from the Commercial Operation Date (COD) of the respective projects, reaffirming the commitment of both organizations to ensuring a reliable supply of clean and sustainable hydroelectric power.

    Highlighting the significance of the agreements, Shri Bhupender Gupta, CMD, NHPC, said, “The signing of these long-term Power Purchase Agreements marks another significant step in NHPC’s commitment to strengthening India’s clean energy transition through reliable and sustainable hydropower. These partnerships contribute towards ensuring long-term energy security while supporting the nation’s renewable energy goals.”

    The PPAs were signed by the General Manager (Commercial), NHPC and the General Manager (Commercial), GUVNL in the presence of senior officers from both organizations.

  • Nordex Group to Deliver 20 MW Wind Farm for Continental Tire Plant in Korbach, Germany

    The Nordex Group received a new order from Germany: For the Twistenberg wind farm in northern Hesse, Nordex will supply and install three N175/6.X wind turbines. The 20-MW wind farm will generate approximately 55 GWh of renewable electricity annually and, together with existing photovoltaic systems, will cover about two-thirds of the electricity needs of the Continental tire plant in Korbach. The contract also includes turbines. a 20-year full-service contract, ensuring the long-term efficient operation of the turbines.

    A special feature of the project is the planned direct supply of the electricity generated to a major industrial off-taker: the wind farm will be operated and owned by tire manufacturer Continental. In future, the wind power is expected to cover part of the electricity demand of Continental’s plant in Korbach, around eight kilometers away – an important employer in the region.

    With this project, Continental is further expanding its direct supply of renewable electricity. At the same time, regional power generation contributes to greater planning certainty in the energy supply of the site.

    The Twistenberg project was developed by Verbands-Energie-Werk Gesellschaft für Erneuerbare Energien (VEW), a subsidiary of Energie Waldeck-Frankenberg GmbH (EWF). EWF is a regional energy supplier with municipal roots in Hesse. Through the close cooperation between industry, municipal energy utilities and regional project development, this project is becoming a flagship example of the energy transition for industrial SMEs and large companies alike.

    The Twistenberg wind farm is being built in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district, in the typical low mountain range landscape of northern Hesse. With an average wind speed of 6.9 m/s, the site is ideally suited to the N175/6.X turbine, which was specifically developed for low to medium wind conditions.

    “Especially in low mountain regions, our N175/6.X demonstrates its strength with high hub heights of 179 metres: high yields combined with efficient turbine operation. In combination with direct industrial power use, this creates an overall concept that is compelling both economically and in terms of climate policy,” says Karsten Brüggemann, Vice President Region Central of the Nordex Group.

    Civil engineering work is scheduled to begin in 2026, with commissioning planned for approximately a year and a half later.
