  • Roofsol Energy Signs 5 MWp Solar Plus 4 MWh BESS PPA with ACG in Maharashtra

Roofsol Energy Signs 5 MWp Solar Plus 4 MWh BESS PPA with ACG in Maharashtra

Roofsol Energy has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Associated Capsules Group (ACG) for a 5 MWp solar power project integrated with a 4 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Maharashtra. The project will be developed under the OPEX model and marks Roofsol Energy’s entry into the commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage segment.

ACG World is a manufacturer of empty hard capsules and pharmaceutical packaging solutions, serving customers across the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries. The solar-plus-storage project is expected to help the company optimise its energy consumption, enhance power resilience and increase its use of cleaner electricity.

The project combines 5 MWp of solar generation capacity with 4 MWh of BESS, enabling the integration of energy storage with renewable generation for an industrial consumer. According to Roofsol Energy, the project represents its first BESS order in the C&I segment.

The agreement comes as Roofsol Energy expands its OPEX-based renewable energy portfolio. In July, the company signed a 10.44 MWp rooftop solar PPA with Shyam Steel Industries for its manufacturing facility in Durgapur, West Bengal. It also signed a 17 MWp rooftop solar PPA with Foxconn for an OPEX-based project at the company’s facility in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

For FY27, Roofsol Energy has set a target of investing in 200 MWp of rooftop solar assets through PPAs, with more than 50 MWp already signed and under execution, according to the company. In June 2026, Roofsol secured ₹260 crore in funding from Aseem Infrastructure Finance to support solar IPP projects and expand its C&I solar portfolio across India.

The ACG agreement strengthens Roofsol Energy’s presence in the C&I renewable energy market while highlighting the growing adoption of solar-plus-storage solutions among industrial consumers seeking cleaner and more reliable power.

Avaada Group Signs MoU with Haryana Government for INR 10,000 Crore Green Industrial Campus in Hisar

Avaada Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Haryana Enterprises Promotion Centre (HEPC), Government of Haryana, to facilitate the development of a 300-acre Zero-CBAM Green Industrial Campus in Hisar.

The proposed development involves an investment of approximately ₹10,000 crore and has the potential to generate more than 5,000 employment opportunities. The campus is envisioned as an integrated green industrial ecosystem powered by reliable, traceable and round-the-clock renewable energy.

The proposed facility will support industries seeking to reduce the carbon intensity of their operations, improve energy security and prepare for evolving global carbon and sustainability requirements, including the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).

Under the MoU, HEPC will facilitate the development of the proposed campus as a state-supported Green Industrial/Zero-CBAM Industrial Park. The support is expected to include assistance with industrial park status, customised incentives, common infrastructure, connectivity and utilities, as well as the expedited processing of statutory approvals through Haryana’s single-window mechanism.

Avaada Group and the Haryana Government will also work to attract anchor investors, technology partners and industrial participants to the proposed campus. The parties will explore international investment roadshows in markets including Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Japan and South Korea to showcase investment opportunities associated with the proposed green industrial ecosystem.

The campus is expected to integrate renewable energy, industrial infrastructure and green manufacturing, providing participating industries with access to reliable and traceable renewable power. This could help companies reduce emissions and respond to growing global demand for low-carbon products and sustainable supply chains.

The proposed ₹10,000 crore investment is also expected to support industrial development in Hisar, strengthen Haryana’s industrial infrastructure and create new employment opportunities.

Commenting on the MoU, Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group, said the proposed campus will combine round-the-clock renewable energy with industrial infrastructure designed to support low-carbon and CBAM-ready manufacturing. He added that the initiative could attract global investment and technology while creating more than 5,000 jobs.

The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation between Avaada Group and HEPC focused on investment facilitation and improving the ease of doing business in Haryana. HEPC will act as a key interface for coordination with relevant state authorities and facilitate the implementation of the proposed development.

Through the Hisar campus, Avaada Group aims to create future-ready industrial infrastructure supporting clean energy, sustainable manufacturing and competitiveness, while contributing to Haryana’s industrial growth and India’s broader clean energy and green manufacturing ambitions.

  • Kshema Power Secures Order for 315 MW Wind Project Transmission Infrastructure in Karnataka

Kshema Power Secures Order for 315 MW Wind Project Transmission Infrastructure in Karnataka

Kshema Power, a renewable energy EPC company, has secured an order from an Independent Power Producer (IPP) for the development of critical transmission infrastructure for a 315 MW wind power project in Karnataka.

The order includes the supply, civil works, erection and commissioning of approximately 33 km of 220 kV Single Circuit Transmission Line on Double Circuit Towers and Multi-Circuit Towers, along with the supply, civil works, erection and commissioning of unit substations and 33 kV transmission line infrastructure.

Karnataka ranks third among Indian states at close to 8,900 MW, and evacuation infrastructure is increasingly the constraint on how quickly new capacity reaches the grid. The Central Electricity Authority’s National Electricity Plan (Transmission) envisages over 191,000 circuit kilometres of new transmission lines and an investment of more than INR 9.15 lakh crore through 2032 to support 500 GW of non-fossil capacity by 2030.

While generation capacity continues to expand, the ability to evacuate, transmit and integrate renewable power reliably into the grid will be equally critical to achieving the country’s long-term clean energy ambitions.

Dr. Sateesh Basant, Managing Director, Kshema Power, said, “India’s renewable energy journey is entering a phase where transmission infrastructure will play an increasingly decisive role. Adding generation capacity is only one part of the equation; ensuring that renewable power can be evacuated and delivered reliably to the grid is equally important. This project reflects our commitment to building the infrastructure that enables renewable energy to move from generation to consumption efficiently and reliably.”

With an integrated scope covering procurement of required approvals for high-voltage transmission, substation infrastructure, electrical balance of plant, civil works, erection and commissioning, the project further strengthens Kshema Power’s capabilities as an end-to-end EPC partner for large-scale renewable energy projects.

The company has executed over 5.2 GW of renewable energy infrastructure globally, including 4,500 plus MW of wind EPC, 2,000 plus km of power transmission lines and 2,400 plus MVA of substation capacity. The company continues to focus on delivering reliable and future-ready infrastructure that supports the integration of renewable energy into India’s evolving power network.
