  • Bijliride Celebrates Unsung Heroes This Independence Day with its New Film “Azaadi Jo Ghar Tak Pahunchti Hai”

Bijliride announced the launch of its 15 August ad film titled “Azaadi Jo Ghar Tak Pahunchti Hai”. Unveiled on the occasion of Independence Day, the campaign celebrates a new meaning of freedom—specifically, the freedom of convenience, accessibility, and peace of mind. Through this brand film, the company aims to highlight the vital contributions of delivery partners, recognizing them as everyday heroes who work tirelessly to keep India moving.

From medicine reaching a sick child and food arriving during a busy workday to daily essentials being delivered to families at home, the film highlights how every delivery is far more than just an order; it is a moment of care, relief, and independence. Driven by the central thought “Azaadi sirf jeeti nahi jaati, har din ghar tak pahunchayi bhi jaati hai” (Freedom is not merely won; it is also brought home every single day.), the narrative emphasizes that in today’s India, freedom is deeply connected to having access to life’s essentials exactly when they are needed most.

Commenting on the campaign, Vishal Vikram, CMO and Co-Founder of Bijliride, said, “At Bijliride, our vision goes beyond mobility; it is about empowering the hands that keep India moving every single day. Delivery partners are the unsung heroes of urban convenience, ensuring that essential care and daily needs reach our homes seamlessly. With ‘Azaadi Jo Ghar Tak Pahunchti Hai,’ we wanted to take a moment this Independence Day to salute their spirit and deliver a meaningful message of gratitude to these everyday drivers of modern freedom.”

The key message of the film focuses on the idea that delivery partners are not just delivering orders, but are actively delivering freedom from worry, lack of time, and everyday challenges. By celebrating these unseen efforts that enable modern-day convenience, the brand connects itself with the larger purpose of making people’s lives easier.

Built around the communication themes of “Freedom Delivered,” “Care Delivered,” and “Azaadi Delivered,” the film is tailored to resonate with urban consumers, families, working professionals, young digital-first audiences, as well as delivery partners and gig workers themselves. The tone and feel of the film are highly emotional, patriotic, inspirational, and deeply relatable.

Ultimately, the campaign expands upon the traditional reminders of Independence Day by fostering gratitude and respect for the delivery partners who continue to serve communities across the nation. The film concludes with a powerful call to action: “This Independence Day, salute the heroes who deliver freedom every single day,” followed by the closing message, “Happy Independence Day. Azaadi Jo Har Ghar Tak Pahunchti Hai.”

  • Serentica Renewables Commissions Phase 1 of 1 GWh Battery Energy Storage System in Bikaner

Serentica Renewables Commissions Phase 1 of 1 GWh Battery Energy Storage System in Bikaner

Serentica Renewables, the renewable energy arm of the Vedanta Group and a leading renewable energy provider in India, today announced the commissioning of Phase 1 of its 1 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Bikaner. The milestone marks the entry into utility scale energy storage for the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) sector and represents a significant step towards delivering reliable, dispatchable renewable energy to India’s energy intensive industries.

The first phase comprises a 200 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) that stores surplus renewable energy generated during the day and discharges it during peak demand hours, enabling the supply of clean power during nighttime. The project has been developed with a modular architecture that offers operational flexibility, scalability and rapid response capabilities, while strengthening grid stability and supporting higher integration of renewable energy.

The Bikaner project powers one of the world’s first time block Round the Clock (RTC) renewable power arrangements for industrial consumers, demonstrating how battery storage can transform intermittent renewable energy into dependable, 24×7 clean power. The commissioning marks an important milestone in Serentica’s vision of delivering firm, dispatchable renewable energy solutions that enable industries to decarbonize without compromising operational reliability.

Mr. Akshay Hiranandani, CEO, Serentica Renewables, said, “Battery Energy Storage Systems will play a defining role in the next phase of India’s clean energy transition by making renewable energy available whenever it is needed. The commissioning of Phase 1 of our 1 GWh BESS is a significant milestone in our journey to deliver reliable, round the clock renewable energy for India’s industrial sector. By integrating advanced storage with renewable generation, we are creating a future ready energy ecosystem that combines sustainability, reliability and flexibility for our customers.”

The commissioning of the Bikaner BESS marks the first step in Serentica’s broader energy storage strategy. With a planned 7 GWh battery order pipeline over the next two years, the company is building one of India’s largest battery storage portfolios for the C&I segment, reinforcing its commitment to delivering reliable, sustainable and round-the-clock clean energy solutions at scale.
