Powertrac Group and Jio Things Partner for Pan-India Distribution of Jio SPARQ Microinverters

Jio Things Ltd. has signed a strategic agreement with Gujarat-based Powertrac Group for the Pan-India distribution and deployment of Jio Sparq Microinverters, covering an overall project size of more than 500 MW.

Under the partnership, Powertrac Group will serve as the master distributor for Jio Sparq Microinverters across India, supporting nationwide distribution, faster deliveries and local customer service. The collaboration is aimed at accelerating the adoption of microinverter technology across residential, commercial and industrial rooftop solar applications.

As part of the partnership agreement, Powertrac Group, with over 18 years of industry experience, will lead the pan-India distribution network and provide local support, with the companies targeting wider deployment of high-efficiency and scalable microinverter-based solar systems. The collaboration is also aligned with the country’s growing rooftop solar market and the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.

Jio Sparq Microinverters feature module-level power optimisation and independent maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for up to four PV panels through four individual DC input channels. The technology is designed to maximise energy generation while enabling real-time digital monitoring and improved system safety in both grid-connected and standby operating modes.

It offers panel-level MPPT, dual-mode On-Grid and Off-Grid operation and Al-powered cloud monitoring for Residential, Commercial and Industrial rooftops and EPC deployments. With up to 2,000W AC output and 720 WP DC input per channel, it is designed for systems ranging from 2 kW to 500 kW. Its all-AC architecture eliminates complex string sizing and high-voltage DC wiring, while modular installation and independent panel operation simplify deployment, improve safety and reduce the impact of individual unit failures. The system also enables real-time panel-level monitoring through the JioThings cloud platform, built-in eSIM LTE connectivity and integration with SCADA systems.

Jio Sparq Microinverters also feature a ZigBee-based M2M Communication Device, making them compliant with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s directive that mandated all inverter communication devices/dongles/data loggers to be deployed under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana to have Machine-to-Machine (M2M) SIM communication protocol to enable secure and reliable data transmission.

“This powerhouse collaboration combines Jio Things’ cutting-edge, intelligent lot and smart solar solutions with Powertrac Group’s highly reliable distribution footprint across India. Together, we are set to redefine energy efficiency, giving residential and commercial consumers nationwide easier access to high-performance, intelligent solar technology,” stated Powertrac Group.

Zenergize Raises USD 4 Million to Accelerate Indigenous Solar Inverter and BESS Technology Development

Zenergize Technologies, an R&D-driven deep-tech company developing indigenous Silicon Carbide (SiC)-based power electronics, has raised USD 4 million in a Pre-Series A funding round comprising equity and venture debt. The round was led by Giraffe Studios, which increased its existing investment in the company, with participation from prominent industrial entrepreneurs and existing investors.

The fundraise follows strong commercial traction for Zenergize, which has achieved an annual revenue run rate of ₹30 crore and built an order book exceeding ₹100 crore within a year of commercialization. The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand manufacturing capacity, strengthen engineering and R&D capabilities, and expand its sales and service network across India.

Zenergize has developed indigenous SiC-based DC fast chargers and solar inverter platforms, with its chargers receiving automotive certifications and its solar inverters obtaining BIS certification. The company is also expanding into hybrid inverters and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) inverters.

The investor group includes Nikhil Sawhney of Triveni Turbine, Varun Agarwal of Ellenbarrie Industrial Gases, Shyam Bagri of Bagrry’s Holdings, Raoul Bajaj of Trafigura, Sunil Kalra, Ajith Pai and Sandeep Barasia, among others. The investors are expected to support manufacturing scale-up, supplier partnerships and customer relationships across India’s renewable energy and electric mobility sectors.

Zenergize said the investment will support its ambition to scale to an annual revenue run rate exceeding ₹100 crore, while developing globally competitive power electronics designed and manufactured in India. The company is also accelerating its product pipeline across hybrid inverters, BESS and other next-generation power electronics technologies.

  • Salasar Techno Engineering Completes INR 170.17 crore Udaipur–Himmatnagar Railway Electrification Corridor

Salasar Techno Engineering Completes INR 170.17 crore Udaipur–Himmatnagar Railway Electrification Corridor

Salasar Techno Engineering Limited, a leading engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) player in India’s railway infrastructure sector, has completed the electrification of the 210-RKM (234.99 TKM) Udaipur–Himmatnagar rail corridor, now dedicated to the Nation. Awarded by RITES Limited, a Schedule ‘A’ Enterprise of the Government of India, on behalf of the Principal Chief Electrical Engineer, North Western Railway, Jaipur, the project carried a contract value of approximately Rs. 170.17 crore and covered the section from Udaipur City (Excl.) to Himmatnagar (Excl.) in the Ajmer Division.

The scope covered 25 kV OHE electrification, general electrification of Traction Sub-Stations, civil engineering works, track works, and signalling & telecommunication works, executed across multiple sites: Traction Sub-Stations at Dungarpur and Vantada, and nine Sectioning/Sub-Sectioning Post stations at Zawar, Jai Samand, Semari, Rikhab Dev, Bechhiwara, Lusadiya, Shamlaji, Raigadh, and Himmatnagar. At each site, Salasar carried out structure erection, transformer and equipment installation, SCADA integration, earthing and cabling works, and signalling & telecom works.

The corridor was delivered in three phases, each independently verified by the Commissioner of Railway Safety or through RITES inspection. The electrified line supports faster, cleaner train movement between Rajasthan and Gujarat, in line with India’s Net Zero Carbon vision for sustainable rail logistics.

“Completing the Udaipur–Himmatnagar corridor strengthens Salasar’s credentials as a full-scope railway electrification partner, capable of delivering complex, multi-site infrastructure to independently certified safety standards,” said Shashank Agarwal, Managing Director, Salasar Techno Engineering Limited. “This project reflects our integrated EPC execution model, spanning OHE, traction sub-stations, civil, track and signalling works, and our commitment to building infrastructure that supports India’s sustainable transport goals.”- full ownership from OHE and traction sub-stations through to civil, track and signalling, built to standards that hold up to independent scrutiny. That’s the model we want to keep scaling as India’s railway network electrifies.”

The completion adds to Salasar’s track record in large-scale railway EPC execution, as the company continues to expand its footprint across India’s electrification programme.
