    Avaada Group Signs MoU with Haryana Government for INR 10,000 Crore Green Industrial Campus in Hisar

    Avaada Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Haryana Enterprises Promotion Centre (HEPC), Government of Haryana, to facilitate the development of a 300-acre Zero-CBAM Green Industrial Campus in Hisar.

    The proposed development involves an investment of approximately ₹10,000 crore and has the potential to generate more than 5,000 employment opportunities. The campus is envisioned as an integrated green industrial ecosystem powered by reliable, traceable and round-the-clock renewable energy.

    The proposed facility will support industries seeking to reduce the carbon intensity of their operations, improve energy security and prepare for evolving global carbon and sustainability requirements, including the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).

    Under the MoU, HEPC will facilitate the development of the proposed campus as a state-supported Green Industrial/Zero-CBAM Industrial Park. The support is expected to include assistance with industrial park status, customised incentives, common infrastructure, connectivity and utilities, as well as the expedited processing of statutory approvals through Haryana’s single-window mechanism.

    Avaada Group and the Haryana Government will also work to attract anchor investors, technology partners and industrial participants to the proposed campus. The parties will explore international investment roadshows in markets including Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Japan and South Korea to showcase investment opportunities associated with the proposed green industrial ecosystem.

    The campus is expected to integrate renewable energy, industrial infrastructure and green manufacturing, providing participating industries with access to reliable and traceable renewable power. This could help companies reduce emissions and respond to growing global demand for low-carbon products and sustainable supply chains.

    The proposed ₹10,000 crore investment is also expected to support industrial development in Hisar, strengthen Haryana’s industrial infrastructure and create new employment opportunities.

    Commenting on the MoU, Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group, said the proposed campus will combine round-the-clock renewable energy with industrial infrastructure designed to support low-carbon and CBAM-ready manufacturing. He added that the initiative could attract global investment and technology while creating more than 5,000 jobs.

    The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation between Avaada Group and HEPC focused on investment facilitation and improving the ease of doing business in Haryana. HEPC will act as a key interface for coordination with relevant state authorities and facilitate the implementation of the proposed development.

    Through the Hisar campus, Avaada Group aims to create future-ready industrial infrastructure supporting clean energy, sustainable manufacturing and competitiveness, while contributing to Haryana’s industrial growth and India’s broader clean energy and green manufacturing ambitions.

    HRTC to Set Up 99 EV Charging Points at 80 Locations in Himachal Pradesh

    The Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) is establishing 99 electric vehicle charging points at 80 locations across Himachal Pradesh at a cost of INR 122 crore to support the operation of its electric bus fleet.

    Of the 80 locations, charging stations have already been installed at 34 sites, while work at another 21 locations is expected to be completed within the next month. Work on establishing charging stations at the remaining 25 locations is also underway, stated Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri while presiding over a review meeting with senior officials of HRTC.

    The charging infrastructure is being developed at HRTC bus stands and workshops to support electric buses operating on various routes across the state. The facilities will use 180 kW fast CCS-2 chargers.

    Agnihotri said that the charging infrastructure is being developed in phases alongside the expansion of HRTC’s electric bus fleet. The charging stations are being installed not only in major cities but also at bus stands and workshops in different parts of the state.

    HRTC currently has 297 electric buses in its fleet, operating on both short- and long-distance routes. According to the corporation, its operation is reducing diesel expenditure by approximately INR 15-16 per kilometre.

    An electric bus generally has a range of around 180 km on a single charge. However, HRTC is operating an electric bus on the approximately 270-km Haroli-Chandigarh route on a single charge. On the approximately 250-km Shimla-Chandigarh-Shimla route, an electric bus completes the journey with around 25 percent battery charge remaining.

    HRTC plans to establish charging stations at additional locations in the future based on operational requirements.
